The winners of the FEA 2023 awards – video
Video from the glittering evening of the International Food Innovation and Excellence Awards ceremony, Food Experts’ Awards FEA – The biggest names in the industry present at the award ceremony at DETROP.
The awards ceremony concluded the first edition of the Food Experts Award’s, FEA 2023, the international food and beverage industry innovation and excellence awards organized by cibum, in which food companies with great work and companies that support the food industry with quality services were distinguished, in the context of the 31st Detrop Helexpo.
Independent food industry professionals assessed the nominations and announced the FEA 2023 Winners, aiming to encourage and reward hard and innovative work in the food industry and businesses around it.
The ceremony was presented by Journalist Eleni Tsaga while, in addition to the winning companies, the event was attended by prominent personalities of the industry, as well as a large number of people from Detrop and its guests.
The FEA awards ceremony honored individuals and organizations for their contribution to Food Science:
- Antoine LAVOISIER Award 2023 to Mr. Antonio Zambela, professor of nutrition at the Agricultural University of Athens and President of EFET. The award was received by the vice-president of EFET Stavros Zanopoulos
- Nicolas APPERT Award 2023 to Mr. Ioannis Smarnakis, food technologist PETET President
- ARISTOTLE Prize 2023 at the Agricultural University of Athens which was received by the rector Spyros Kintzios
- Peter DURAND Prize 2023 at the Dairy School of Ioannina. The award was received by the Director of the school Alexandra Mega.
Sponsors of the FEA who also gave important prizes to the winners were the certification bodies TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD), TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas, SGS and Q-Cert and the food analysis laboratories Tsakalidis Analysis and Testing and Eurofins Analytical Laboratories of Athens.
Participating companies competed in 25 categories, which refer to contemporary issues of concern to the food business and the consumer such as innovation, food safety culture, nutritional value, integrity, customer centricity, sustainability, protection of the environment and the reduction of food waste.
